The books included The Witch of Blackbird Pond, Time of the Witches, and A Break with Charity.

At the end of our unit, each literature circle group worked on a joint summary of the novel that described the main characters, settings, three major events, and two themes they saw. In addition, each student brought in two items for a jackdaw project. The items could be pictures or objects and students shared how they related to the novel.
